Ruby, a young kraken, resides in Oceanside. She likes making friends there and has feelings for Connor, a good-natured high school student. Agatha told Ruby to pretend to be Canadian and keep a low profile because she was aware of the kraken’s notoriety. Ruby makes a crucial misstep when attempting to approach Connor during “promposal” season, sending him plunging into the water. She follows him into the lake and quickly dives in to save him.
