The plot revolves around Jeremy and Kamal Allen, two former NBA prospects. Kamal works as a delivery driver to support his wife Imani, a hairdresser who wishes to build a salon, and their son Drew. Despite losing interest in the game, Kamal continues to play pick-up Basketball. Jeremy, an unusual white man, instructs young basketball players while also running a side company selling homemade detox beverages. Tatiana, his girlfriend, is a gifted choreographer who, due to financial limitations, is unable to grow in her job. They share a home.
