Park and Crossingham get another chance to perform at the pinnacle of silent comedy with the return of Feathers McGraw. Nothing in this movie comes close to McGraw brandishing a gun at Gromit, but really, it doesn’t have to. That black-pupiled penguin is still as amusing, creepy and expressive as ever, but now he has a new set of jokes. Coming up with fresh ways to depict McGraw’s timely wicked energy was a lot of fun for the Aardman team. When Gromit and McGraw finally meet, it’s thrilling to watch them engage in a silent little good vs evil diva-off.
