Bruce was once a popular author, but his time in the spotlight with the bestseller “The Infernal Machine” was spoiled by Dwight, who became insane after applying the book’s lessons. After 25 years, Bruce is a shell of a man who struggles to control his thoughts, lives in the middle of nowhere, and has become an alcoholic. Coming after him is a stranger who writes to the author on a daily basis. This stranger uses cryptic letters to communicate with an unreachable man, which prompts Bruce to respond by phone.
