Sitting in Bars with Cake 2023

Jane is traveling to Hollywood to attend law school in an effort to please her parents. She works in the mailroom of a music firm alongside her roommate and best friend Corinne, an ambitious executive who works for Benita. Corinne suggests that Jane leverage her incredible baking skills by bringing cake to bars to help draw in guys. Corinne is concerned about her friend’s solitary tendencies and difficult social situations. Corinne assists the odyssey by dealing with strange guys, while Jane begins to produce confections after agreeing to a year-long experiment in seducing dates. The enjoyment abruptly comes to an end when Corinne is given the news that she has brain cancer. The two women use their special bond to get through a very dark time as Corinne fights for her life, prompting Jane to assume the position of her primary carer.
