In the near future, a solar event has accelerated Earth’s downfall, cleaning the enormous areas of mankind as temperatures soar and vegetation is annihilated. Enduring the catastrophe is Finch who is an engineer and has figured out how to make something of a life, joined by his robot companion, Dewey, and Goodyear, a homeless dog got on the route. With the ozone layer gone, Finch goes through his days investigating in a UV suit, attempting to track down provisions in St. Louis, getting back to his living space to deal with the formation of Jeff, an A.I. program he is creating.
