A Family Affair 2024

“A Family Affair” is mostly a romantic comedy with a strong comedic element. The protagonist of the story is Zara, a young adult daughter who vehemently disagrees with her mother’s new love interest. Zara works for the well-known, affluent, conceited, and out-of-touch actor Chris Cole as his personal assistant. Their relationship is hilariously unstable, especially as Chris starts feeling something for Brooke, Zara’s mother. The film’s first segment is plenty of humour, emphasising the disconnected observations of Efron’s character and the immature but perhaps justifiable reactions of King’s character to her strange boss.
