The Banshees of Inisherin 2022

The movie is about two feuding friends takes place in the early 1920s on Inisherin, an island off the west coast of Ireland. In this sparsely populated area, there is no one to talk to. Podrick, a rustic, good-natured farmer who lives with his unmarried, sensible sister, occasionally crosses paths with the elderly violinist Colm and the narrow-minded son of a policeman, and he also shares his own reflections with the miniature donkey Jenny. He became friends with a musician who had memories of the Civil War. Colm once invited Podrick to sit with him in a pub, but the farmer flatly refused and informed the violinist that he no longer wanted to see him. A fight between friends will have tragic consequences. Colm pondered for a long time what he should do in his declining years alone, and decided to write great music that would outlive him rather than wander around the island chatting with stupid people in the pub.
