House of the Dragon S02 E02

The second episode of Season 2 of House of the Dragon opens with a captivating scene. We are drawn into the chaos as the guards pour out into the corridors, carrying their weapons, closing doors, and responding to the murder that has taken place. Aegon, driven by anger, destroys his father’s intricate model of Old Valyria. Alicent, Olivia Cooke, is seen weeping. While her father reminds her of the political advantage their child presents. Alicent carries the burden of guilt for having Criston Cole, played by Fabien Frankel, in her bed instead of protecting the children’s room. This experience has transformed Alicent.
