Originating from the legend of Hanuman, Patel makes an appearance in the Monkey Man credits as an unidentified combatant known only as Kid. Donning a gorilla mask, he engages in a cash-based match in the ring with Sharlto Copley’s unscrupulous promoter. Most nights of the week he gets beat up and gets paid extra for cuts. The Kid may not look like the strongest person in the room with his badly broken hands and expressionless face, but Patel’s intensely expressive eyes convey drive even before he does.
