Inheritance 2025: Directed by Neil Burger, Inheritance is a stylish young adult thriller that works as a father-daughter drama. The main character, Maya, who is in her twenties, has been taking care of her dying mother for the nine months. Maya and her sister are greeted at the wake by their father, Sam, whom they don’t know well because he works abroad most of the time. Sam offers Maya a thousand dollars a day to travel with him on a business trip in hopes to patch things up. Maya also needs a vacation. Therefore, she chooses to attend.
