A woman from Nepal is mostly ignored behind the counter of a Whole Foods Market in Connecticut. Her tale is at the centre of this documentary. Lhakpa Sherpa, a single mother, travels to her job via public transit. The fact that she has successfully ascended Mount Everest several times in her home country is unknown to anyone around her. Her upbringing as an illiterate woman in a strongly patriarchal country makes her amazing accomplishment—which displays her exceptional physical and mental resilience—even more astonishing.
