While serving her country, Parker, an officer in the Special Forces, is crushed to hear of the death of her father, Harry. Parker, who is determined to make a fresh start in the mining town of Creation, learns of Harry’s suicide within a mine on his property from Sheriff Jesse, her high school boyfriend. Parker, however, finds this response unsatisfactory and is now assessing the circumstances in the town and attempting to ascertain the true nature of the problem. She reaches out to her friend Mike again, hoping to seek help. As Parker pursues her investigation, she discovers a lead that discloses the actual happenings in Creation.
