Three Thousand Years of Longing 2022

Alithea, an expert in storytelling, is eagerly welcomed by her hosts as she arrives in Istanbul to attend a conference. Alithea decides to buy a souvenir of her trip after having unusual visions and connections during her stay and pulls a glass bottle from the back of an antique shop. Djinn gets released from his captivity by Alithea as she attempts to clean the bottle in her hotel room. Alithea then observes as the mythical being settles in the room. Alithea decides to interact with the Djinn, who grants her three wishes in exchange for his release—but only if they are genuine. The visitor decides to talk about personal history with the Djinn.
