The Mauritanian 2021 is a legal drama movie starring Jodie Foster and Tahar Rahim. The film follows the story of a Mauritanian man Slahi, who was detained without any charge by the U.S. government. He was kept in Guantanamo Bay detention camp. He was detained from year 2002 till October, 2016. He was also the first detainee who wrote a memoir while in the detention camp. Not only the first but He wrote four books in this period but was never given a copy of his published book. The movie is directed by Kevin Macdonald.
