The majority of “Teeth Marks” is occupied by the drug switch. When Shinwell chooses not to change the pills once more, he is immediately the victim of eerie blackmail, with his adoptive parents’ life at stake if he doesn’t comply. He appears to have run out of alternatives, so he follows instructions to change the medications, but Ginny, the patient of the week, catches him in the process. Ginny conveniently suffers from episodic amnesia, so she quickly forgets what she saw. However, she does record it in her planner, which sets off a series of events that nearly brings down Shinwell and compels Moriarty to use his power in even more egregious ways.
