Connie Reid is followed as she marries Clifford Chatterley in the movie “Lady Chatterley’s Lover,” which was adapted on the novel by D.H. Lawrence. Connie instantly creates a liberal image of Clifford as she explains how Clifford is okay with the fact that she had an affair with a German soldier prior to their marriage and goes into great length about how happy she is to be Clifford’s wife. Disaster strikes, however, as Clifford leaves the day after their wedding to serve in World War I and returns crippled.
