Owen and Maddy, played by Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine, are a pair of teenagers who are considered outcasts. However, they stumble upon an unexpected connection when they both become obsessed with a mesmerizing TV show called The Pink Opaque. As their fascination with the supernatural world portrayed in the series intensifies, their own lives start to intertwine with the fictional characters they adore during their late-night binge-watching sessions. Unfortunately, when their beloved show gets abruptly axed, strange occurrences and puzzling questions arise, leaving Owen and Maddy unsure of who they really are and blurring the boundaries between what’s real and what’s make-believe.
