Anthony is an artist in Chicago who is struggling with a creative block. He is searching for a big blow to his life before a big gallery show run by Brianna who is his girlfriend. The saga of Helen Lyle is his inspiration who once came to the Cabrini-Green housing project in the search of an urban legend. Anthony visited the area and meets William who is a resident recalling his own interaction with a one-handed homeless black man, Sherman. The black man was gunned down by white police officers.
