Eddie Murphy returns as streetwise Detroit cop Axel Foley. He receives a call from old buddy Billy Rosewood, Judge Reinhold. The call was to alerting him that his estranged daughter Jane, Taylour Paige, recently had her life threatened. She is a defence lawyer in Los Angeles. Attempting to show that an accused cop killer was set up. Foley returns to Beverly Hills to check on her, and there he meets up with John Taggart, the police chief at this time. Bobby Aaron, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, one of Taggart’s guys, thinks Grant, Kevin Bacon, a crooked cop, might know something about Jane’s attack.
