Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and written by Matt Greenhalgh, the film tells the story of Amy Winehouse, brought to life by Marisa Abela. Amy, a talented singer-songwriter born in London, England, embarks on a musical journey from her late teens with her debut album ‘Frank’ to her remarkable success in her mid-20s with the album that shares the film’s title. Tragically, Amy’s life is cut short at the age of 27. The movie also delves into the relationships that shaped Amy’s life, including her future husband Blake, portrayed by Jack O’Connell, her father Mitch, played by Eddie Marsan, and her grandmother Cynthia, portrayed by Leslie Manville.
