AKA begins in the Libyan province of Sebha, where a kidnapped journalist is secreted by an Islamic militant organisation. The journalist is then placed in a cage at the underground facility, his head still covered by a piece of cloth. But soon it becomes clear that this man is no ordinary reporter, but rather an undercover snoop who releases his handcuffs and goes about his work. He shouts out to another inmate in the nearby cage, a particular Sonia Gautier, saying that he had entered Sonia’s haven. After killing everyone at the militant outpost in a subsequent gunfight, the seasoned spy is left with Sonia.
