However, the protagonist of Smile 2, a gripping sequel to the 2022 blockbuster that lacks the originality and intelligence of its predecessor, faces that potential fate. Naomi Scott plays a singer in recovery from addiction and the loss of her partner. She experiences horrifying visions of individuals with rictus grins. Writer/director Parker Finn is back for this sequel. Finn finally gives in to the clichéd horror clichés that the original film so deftly avoided.
