With her husband Jerrel’s sudden death, Summer is left responsible for their young son Major alone. The child refuses to share a piece of cake with his worried mother. The single mother finds it difficult to manage Major’s behavioural problems while working and taking care of her family. Summer receives entertainment assistance in the form of “Mr. Crocket’s World,” a VHS DVD that promises vibrant characters and life lessons, when a book-sharing box shows up nearby. Major is immediately captivated by the presentation. The child’s transformation causes Summer to have a different perspective on everything. The mother is unaware of the influence Mr. Crocket, the upbeat TV host who visits underprivileged communities and enlists schoolchildren to assist in populating his awful land, has on her children.
