How far we will go to protect the people we care about is demonstrated in the modern horror creature movie UNWELCOME. When given the chance to inherit a home in rural Ireland, Maya and Jamie, both Londoners looking for a way out of their urban nightmare to raise their unborn child, embrace the chance to escape the dangers of city life. Their new house’s ancient mysteries are claimed to be hidden in an old, twisted wood at the bottom of their garden, where a ghostly presence is said to be hiding. According to old Celtic myth, the woodlands are home to the terrible, murderous goblins known as Redcaps, so named because they dip their caps in the blood of their victims. After contracting a local family business to handle some building repairs, the young couple quickly realises they got more than they bargained for with Daddy and his adult sons, who are little more than low-level crooks.
