Nemesis and Samaritan, two superpowered brothers who once called Granite City home, were at war with one another for a very long time. Nemesis wanted to rule the entire planet. After their final battle, the two were finally assumed to be dead, and Granite City swiftly descended into poverty and crime. Thirteen-year-old Sam is now struggling to survive while his single mother Tiffany struggles to make ends meet at work. Sam, a huge admirer of Samaritan, wants to keep his memory and learn about his past but is soon seduced into a life of crime by criminal Cyrus in order to provide his mother with some quick cash.
